COURSES

Defensive driving course truck handling demonstration

Our Advanced Vehicle Control and Defensive Driving course in Nashville is designed to optimize your ability to maintain control during dynamic maneuvers common in emergencies and high-risk situations. This program fills critical gaps left by standard state driver’s education and equips both new and experienced drivers with the skills and judgment needed to respond confidently in real-world driving scenarios. Students will learn the physical limits of vehicles and experience multiple drills to build emergency control skills, skid recovery, and vehicle handling under stress. Training begins in our certified vehicles, with the option to repeat drills in your personal car to maximize real-world applicability and retention. Prerequisites: Valid driver’s license or learner’s permit; must be physically capable of handling repeated abrupt maneuvers. Equipment Needed: No special equipment required, though using your personal vehicle (in good working condition) during the latter part of the course is recommended for maximum benefit. All exercises are conducted on a paved, low-risk cone course to ensure safety while providing realistic, hands-on experience. Upon successful completion, participants receive a certificate of training. Classes are limited to 12 students for individualized attention. Price: $375 for a full-day, 8-hour course. Common physical limits of most vehicles are explained and most importantly, experienced through multiple drills that build a driver’s ability to stay in control during an emergency, or regain control after a skid occurs. Train in our vehicle(s) in the beginning, with the option of repeating drills in your vehicle to maximize the training value. Prerequisites: Valid driver’s license or learner’s permit. Must be physically capable of enduring repeated abrupt vehicle maneuvers. Equipment needed: None, but consider coming in a vehicle you drive most to take advantage of the opportunity to train in that vehicle during the latter part of the class. That vehicle must be in good working condition (we reserve the right to refuse training in a vehicle we deem unsafe). All training conducted on a paved cone course with a very low chance of collision or vehicle damage. All initial training conducted in our vehicles, with the option of using yours near the end of the day. A certificate will be awarded for successful completion of the class. $375 for 1 day (8 hours) of training with class size limited to 12 students
